Dysart is a small friendly mining community located 3 hours south west of Mackay and it the central hub to the Norwich Park and Sarji Coal Mines. It has a small shopping complex that has a post office, IGA, chemist, doctor surgery and several small shops that cater for all your needs. It has a primary and a high school.
