Barbara Mayfield J.P. – Managing Director

Barbara is the managing director who believes very much in a "hands on" approach. Her involvement and presence in the office on a day to day basis ensures that she is in touch with the needs of her staff and clients. In the ever-changing world of property management this approach enables Mackay Rentals to be at the forefront of changes in legislation, technology and client support. She believes a team which is able to respond to these changes is in the best position to maximize the return on properties in their care and maintain maximum return for our client’s   Barbara has been involved in property management since 1988. A current member of the Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) and the Body Corporate Manager's Institute of Queensland (BCMIQ), she has been a member of the State Committee of REIQ since 2002and enjoys bringing back the latest information and systems to the Mackay District, she ensures all staff attend R.E.I.Q. Training and other industry events.

Joan Wickey - Senior Property Manager

An accredited Licensed Real Estate Agent, Joan began her career in Property Management in 1980 this experience and knowledge will ensure your investment will be managed in the most professional manner. Mackay Rentals have had the pleasure of Joan working for us since 2002. Joan believes in the art of negotiating, with all parties which gives  a win-win solution should any problems occur. Currently managing a property portfolio which extends from Calen to Hay Point, Seaforth to Mirani, rural and central Mackay.

Wendy Chatto - Senior Property Manager

Joined the Mackay Rentals team in 1997 and manages a portfolio covering Mackay, Salonika Beach, Grasstree Beach, Sarina, Northern Beaches and Walkerston. Her experience and local knowledge ensures that your investment is managed in a professional manner. As a Property Manager Wendy finds interacting with a wide variety of people from landlords to tenants and tradespeople the most rewarding aspect of her position. She sees communication as the key to ensuring that misunderstandings between all parties are rare and quickly resolved when they do occur.

Jacqui Connolly - Property Consultant

Jacqui has extensive experience in the construction industry, which is a real advantage in the real estate arena. Jacqui commenced her employment with Mackay Rentals in June 2007, her first position was as a property manager assistant, then she moved up to property manager, and then in February 2001 Jacqui became one of our new business managers. With her past experience with the construction industry, she really enjoys her new roll.

Andrew Stewart

Andrew is our Property Manager for the mining towns of Moranbah & Dysart, and has over 15 years experience with all the aspect’s of property management, both here and overseas. All Mackay Rentals staff are continually trained on the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 and all other Acts that govern our industry, and Andrew brings this training to his portfolio with the support of the Mackay Rentals team. Andrew will be able to find the best solutions for managing your investment property in the mining townships of Moranbah and Dysart.

Ashleigh Duffield - Property Manager

Ashleigh has been with Mackay Rentals since 2008, where she was first employed as a front counter receptionist, then as a property manager assistant, and now as a property manager. Ashleigh has taken to her now role like a duck to water, she is well organised, has great time management skills, and good communications with landlords, tennants and trades people.

Irene Hutchison - Property Consultant

Irene started her employment with Mackay Rentals in October 2006, and today she acts as our holiday relief person, taking over the duties of any staff member on holiday leave. Irene has also become one of our new business managers. As a business manager, Irene is responsible for talking to prospective landlords, performing appraisals on their properties, helping them fill in the Management Agreement form, and explaining how the Mackay Rentals office runs.
